Buy-Down

This is a mortgage whose payments are very low due to First Atlantic or you subsidizing the mortgage through lowering the interest rates in the first years of the mortgage loan. This may seem enticing to you because of the lower payments, but know that the mortgage payments will rise over time when the subsidy expires.
